Teenager seriously injured in e-scooter crash

A teenager e-scooter rider was seriously injured after a collision with a pickup truck.

The 17-year-old, from Peterborough, was riding along Peterborough Road, near Farcet, when he was involved in a crash at 16:16 BST on Monday.

He was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, where he remains with serious injuries, Cambridgeshire Police said.

The driver of the pickup truck, a man also from Peterborough, was uninjured, interviewed at the scene and was helping officers with enquiries.

The force appealed for witnesses and anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact them.
