A38 reopens after motorcyclist dies in crash
BBCA motorcyclist in his 20s has died in a crash that closed the A38 for eight hours.
Devon and Cornwall Police shut the road in both directions near Lee Mill, Devon, after it received reports of a crash involving a Ford Transit camper, an MG HS and a motorcycle at about 10:00 BST.
The force said the motorcycle rider, from Plymouth, was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin had been informed.
The Plymouth-bound carriageway reopened to traffic shortly after 17:30 before the other side of the road reopened 30 minutes later. Anyone with information or who has dashcam footage of the crash has been asked to contact police.
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: "We sent one double-crewed land ambulance, an air ambulance, an operations officer and a specialist paramedic to the scene."
