A30 closed in both directions after serious crash

The A30 in Devon has closed in both directions after a serious crash involving an overturned car.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a grey Seat Cupra was travelling towards Exeter shortly after 14:00 BST when it hit the central reservation and landed in the opposite carriageway.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said it helped free one casualty from the car, with ambulance crews also at the scene.

The road remains shut at Honiton between the A375 and A35, with the closure expected to last several hours, National Highways said.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage, is urged to contact police on 101 quoting police log 0472.
