Man airlifted to hospital after serious M25 crash
Reuben BrownA section of the M25 has been closed after two vehicles were involved in a serious crash which has seen a man airlifted to hospital.
Emergency services are dealing with the incident on the clockwise carriageway between junctions six and seven, near Godstone, amid soaring temperatures during the ongoing summer hot spell.
Motorists can expect lengthy delays in the area due to a closure at junction five to prevent additional traffic joining the motorway, Surrey Police said.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesperson said it was called to the scene at about 10:00 BST. The male patient had suffered a leg injury, and would receive further treatment in hospital, it added.
luke_8mDrivers are also urged not to leave their vehicles if they are between junctions five and six, as traffic is expected to begin moving soon, the force added.
