Motorcyclists seriously injured in crash
GoogleTwo motorcyclists have sustained life-threatening injuries in a crash on a motorway slip road, police have said.
Surrey Police said officers were called to the M25 clockwise carriageway at 17:45 BST on Saturday following reports of a crash between two motorbikes on the slip road at junction 12 leading to the M3.
Both riders, a man in his 30s and a man in his 40s, were taken to hospital by air ambulance, said the force. Their next of kin have been informed.
A police spokesperson said: "We are particularly interested in tracing the movements of the riders prior to the collision and would like to speak to anyone who saw a group of motorcycle riders on the M25 in the minutes beforehand."
The slip road and the clockwise carriageway of the M25 was closed between junctions 11 and 12 for several hours while emergency services responded to the incident.
Police urged witnesses and anyone with relevant footage to get in touch.
