A man in his 20s was raped after being approached at a nature reserve's car park, police have said.

The victim is receiving support from specially trained officers after he was attacked by a man in Padworth Common, west Berkshire, at about 18:30 BST on Thursday.

He had £50 stolen from a pocket by the offender who spoke with a local accent and was wearing white shoes, Thames Valley Police (TVP) said.

Det Insp Beverley Pearse, from TVP, said officers are investigating the man's report "thoroughly and extensively" and are keen to speak to anyone who saw a red vehicle at the time of the incident. Anyone with information can contact TVP online or on 101.
