A 15-year-old boy has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman on a bus.

Nottinghamshire Police said the victim was travelling through Nottingham when she was both sexually and physically assaulted at about 17:45 BST on 2 January.

Officers launched an investigation and on Thursday, said the juvenile suspect had been charged with sexual assault and assault by beating.

The boy - who cannot be named due to his age - has been released on conditional ahead of an appearance at Nottingham Youth Court on 13 July. One of these conditions, police added, is for the teenager to not ride on public transport without a responsible adult, unless when travelling to or from school.
