The fire was put out quickly but caused problems with water, gas and electricity supplies, said the fire service

A fire at a town centre takeaway disrupted power, water and gas supplies, a fire service said.

Crews dealt with the blaze in Calthorpe Street, Banbury, from about 04:20 BST on Saturday.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was brought under control quickly but caused "challenges with utilities", which have required support from National Grid and other bodies.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said its officers were called on to help manage the incident but no crime has been reported.
