Advice against bathing as oil spill investigated
PA MediaPeople are being urged not to bathe at a beach after reports of a possible fuel or oil spill in the area.
The Environment Agency said it was investigating a pollution incident at Blyth South Beach in Northumberland.
It logged the incident on its water quality website at about 17:10 BST on Wednesday.
Its thought the incident is not connected to the plastic pellets or nurdles that washed up on local beaches following the Port of Tyne collision last month.
