Pete HicksFour people were taken to safety after a 60ft (18.2m) motor cruiser caught fire off the Isles of Scilly.
The crew at St Mary's RNLI Lifeboat Station was tasked by HM Coastguard following a distress call from the motorboat reporting a fire at 17:35 BST on Saturday.
The station said its lifeboat proceeded at "full speed" to the vessel and arrived on scene at 18:40 to find four people on deck.
After checking there were no injuries or smoke inhalation, the four people were taken to St Mary's harbour to be cared for by local friends, the RNLI said.
