Man jailed after drugs lab discovered in house
Humberside PoliceA man who made drugs at a house in Hull has been jailed for 10 years and six months.
Officers raided a property on Cavill Place in November 2025 "after concerns were raised around the repeated delivery of chemicals" to the property and uncovered a "large-scale synthetic drugs laboratory", Humberside Police said.
Radoslaw Golec fled the scene, but was eventually traced and arrested in Sheffield in April, the force added.
Golec, 37, of Eckington Road, Sheffield, pleaded guilty to producing and supplying MDMA and amphetamine at Hull Crown Court earlier this month and sentenced at Hull Crown Court on Friday.
According to police, the drugs laboratory had industrial equipment, chemicals and tools capable of producing significant quantities of class A and B drugs, as well as a quantity of ecstasy pills and more than £14,000 in cash.
The house was cordoned off for five days while the equipment was removed and data from mobile phones recovered in the search showed laboratory equipment was bought from China using cryptocurrency.
Detectives also found evidence of courier companies delivering drugs across the country and also thousands of pounds worth of lab equipment, similar to that seized in Hull, being sent to other addresses across the UK, the force added.
