Banned driver on cocaine jailed after crashing with police during chase

A banned driver on cocaine has been jailed after crashing with police during a car chase.

Adam Evans, 31, also had cannabis in his system during the pursuit on the A55 in Caernarfon in March.

Police dash cam shows Evans driving at high speed through residential streets, narrowly dodging oncoming cars.

Officers pursued Evans towards roadworks and stopped him by hitting his car with theirs, causing it to spin around and become trapped by barriers.

Evans, of Princes Drive, Colwyn Bay, tried to escape and had to be tasered.

At Caernarfon Crown Court on Friday, Evans, who has previous convictions for drink and drug-driving, was jailed for 17 months.

Judge Nicola Jones imposed a 44 months ban and ordered Evans to take an extended test.
