Detective charged with operating equipment beneath clothing
BBCA detective has been charged with operating equipment beneath clothing without consent, his police force has said.
Det Con Lee Harshey-Jones is due to appear in court after being suspended from duties following an "incident" in Colwyn Bay, Conwy county, earlier this month.
He was given bail after appearing before magistrates at Warrington, Cheshire, earlier in June.
He is next due to appear for a plea hearing at Chester Crown Court on 14 July.
The detective was a lead investigator in the death of two-year-old Ethan Ives-Griffiths, whose grandparents were jailed for murder last year, and has given evidence in other high-profile murder trials in north Wales.
Operating equipment beneath clothing without consent is an offence under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
