Hebridean Housing Partnership (HHP) plans to build 160 new homes in Lewis.

The social housing has been proposed for a site next to MacKenzie Park east of Stornoway.

HHP has submitted a planning application to local authority, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, for its Melbost West development.

The properties would be constructed in four phases and would be a mix of one and two-storey semi-detached homes.

Most of the properties would be for households of two to four people, while some larger homes would be for up to seven people.
