Four men arrested over death of teenage boy

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a 17-year-old boy in a town.

Police were called at 22.25 BST on Thursday to initial reports of a possible burglary in Linslade, near Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

The teenager was found unresponsive on Soulbury Road, and first aid was provided, but he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

A man was arrested at the scene and is in custody on suspicion of murder. Three other men were also arrested in connection with the incident.

Det Insp Caeva Taylor from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit said: "The initial 999 call to police was to report a possible break-in in progress; however, our enquiries so far have found no evidence whatsoever that the victim was carrying out, or attempting to carry out, a burglary."

She added they were urging anyone with any doorbell or CCTV footage to get in touch immediately.
