Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted while out running.

The 17-year-old girl was jogging on the footpath at Chellow Dean Reservoir in Bradford on 26 May, between 18:00 and 18:30 BST, when the incident happened.

The suspect is described as an Asian man in his early 20s, who is 6ft (1.8m) tall with black hair and a beard. He was wearing sunglasses with a blue and white striped shirt and black shorts.

In March 2024, West Yorkshire Police launched an initiative to crackdown on abuse of female runners, after a national survey found 60% of female runners had experienced some form of harassment.

Police urged any witnesses or anyone with information to contact Bradford West Neighbourhood Policing team.
