Man dies after car hits stone wall and overturns

A man in his 20s, who was seriously injured after the car he was travelling in hit a stone wall, has died in hospital.

The man was a passenger in a Volkswagen Passat CC which struck the wall and overturned on Skipton Old Road near Colne, Lancashire, at about 18:50 BST on Sunday.

The man suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital but died on Tuesday evening, while the driver of the car, a man in his 20s, suffered minor injuries, a Lancashire Police spokesperson said.

Det Sgt Daniel Gunn said: "This collision has cost a man his life and my thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this time."

He appealed for anyone who saw what happened or with dashcam footage from the area to get in touch.
