River Ness footbridge to be reopened in September
Getty ImagesA footbridge across the River Ness in Inverness is to be reopened in early September following repairs.
The 140-year-old Infirmary Bridge was closed two weeks ago after the discovery of structural damage.
Highland Council assistant chief executive Malcolm MacLeod has told councillors that tenders had been received from specialist contractors.
He said a firm would be appointed soon to carry out the repairs.
