Driver killed in crash with lorry
GoogleA driver has died in a collision between a car and a lorry in Leicestershire.
Police said it was called to the A512 Ashby Road West near Shepshed following reports of a crash between a green Ford Fiesta and a white HGV at 01:10 BST on Wednesday.
The driver of the Fiesta, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The HGV driver was not injured.
Leicestershire Police has urged potential witnesses to get in touch.
The force said at the time of the crash, the lorry was travelling towards Shepshed while the Fiesta was travelling in the opposite direction.
Officers are also urging drivers who may have been in the area at the time to check dashcam footage.
