Watch: Pub thief caught stealing £1,800 of alcohol
A man who stole £1,800 worth of alcohol from a pub has admitted non-dwelling burglary and theft from a shop, police said.
Two men broke into the College Arms on the Broadway, Peterborough, through a rear garden entrance during the early hours of 15 May where they stole bottles of alcohol from behind the bar, Cambridgeshire Police said.
One of the men was later arrested for the burglary by the force after he committed another theft at Farmfoods on Lincoln Road, Peterborough.
He appeared at Cambridge Magistrates' Court on 4 August where he admitted to burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal and theft from a shop and was sentenced to six months in prison.
