Late Night Levy could be dropped by council

The charge has been under review because of financial pressure on hospitality businesses.

A curved glass section - right of centre and rising from ground level to about halfway up the stand - reveals staircases and escalators inside. Barrack Road has four lanes. A bus and a car are travelling on it.

Second 'football special' park and ride confirmed

After a trial last season, the bus from Newcastle Great Park to St James' Park resumes next month.

Central motorway upgrade set to finish months early

Work on Newcastle's A167(M) is expected to be mostly finished by October, the council says.

There are no toilets open in Leazes park after the cafe shut, Friends of Leazes Park group say.
