Lanyon Place train station in Belfast city centre has reopened after earlier reports of a smell of gas.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that it had deployed crews to the scene.

A spokeswoman said they were sent following reports of a smell of gas at the station.

She said the crews used monitors to try to establish if there had been a gas leak.

However, Translink said on Sunday evening that "Lanyon Place station is now open following a problem at a station".
