Further arrests in fatal shooting murder inquiry

Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Sheffield have arrested two more people on suspicion of murder.

Kassim Mohammed, 32, died in hospital after being shot in Watery Street in Upperthorpe on 30 September.

South Yorkshire Police said two men aged 18 and 30 had been arrested on suspicion of murder this week and later released on bail.

In total, eight people have now been arrested on suspicion of murdering Mr Mohammed, with five men aged 20, 22, 27, 31 and 35, and a 31-year-old woman previously detained.

A police spokesperson said: "We remain keen to hear from anyone with relevant dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage and would encourage anyone who is yet to contact us in this regard to please get in touch."
