A biker has been treated in hospital after being involved in a crash with a police car near the Erskine Bridge.

Police said the collision happened on the A82 eastbound off-slip for Old Kilpatrick and it was reported to them at about 14:45 on Tuesday.

One witness told BBC Scotland News the impact knocked the biker "into the air", and their motorbike landed on another car.

The biker was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment, police said.

Inquiries in the full circumstances of the crash are continuing, they added.

The road was partially closed following the incident.
