Man denies murder of cyclist after fatal collision

A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a cyclist who died after a collision with a car.

Norfolk Police said it responded to an incident involving a bike and a white Mercedes in Chartwell Road, Norwich at about 17:00 BST on 8 May.

Father-of-three Richard Smith, 50, died in hospital three days later.

David Morgan, 40, of George Winter Court in the city, denied murder during an appearance at Norwich Crown Court by video link, and was remanded in custody until his trial on 2 November.
