Man charged after girl, 16, sexually assaulted in woodland

A 34-year-old man has been charged in connection with the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl in Kirkcaldy.

The teenager was attacked while walking through woodland between Dunnikier Way and Hendry Road.

Police Scotland said the alleged incident happened at about 14:30 on Thursday.

The man, who was arrested on Saturday, is due to appear before Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday.
