Man charged with murder after town centre death
Family PhotoA 22-year-old has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Welshpool town centre.
He will appear in court on Tuesday after police were called to Church Street, in Welshpool, Powys, at 01:16 BST on Sunday.
Young John Mongan, 49, from Walsall in the West Midlands, died despite what the police said were "the best efforts of paramedics".
The charged man has been remanded in custody, and Dyfed-Powys Police thanked those who have assisted with the investigation.
