Two people have been arrested after an injured man was found on an estate in Derbyshire.

Derbyshire Police were called to Cotmanhay Road in Cotmanhay, to the north of Ilkeston, at about 12:00 BST on Friday following reports of an assault.

A man was found with serious injuries and has been taken to hospital.

Police said a 29-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman have been arrested and remain in custody.

Cotmanhay Road is cordoned off while investigations continue.
