Woman arrested over fatal Christmas Day stabbing

A woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing on Christmas Day.

She was being held on suspicion of assisting an offender after a 30-year-old man was found dead on Burcot Avenue, Wolverhampton, shortly after 03:30 GMT on Thursday.

Two men aged 35 and 58 arrested on suspicion of murder had since been released with no further action, West Midlands Police said.

A force spokesperson confirmed the woman, 42, remained in custody for questioning.
