Road closed as house fire spreads across properties
Julia Gregory/BBCA road has been closed in Surrey after a house fire broke out and spread to four neighbouring properties.
The fire began in Kings Mews, off Frimley Green Road in Camberley, at about 06:00 BST, and the road has since been closed.
A Surrey Fire & Rescue Service (SFRS) spokesperson said that the incident had been scaled down at about 12:15 BST, but still urged residents to avoid the area.
It added that all people at the properties were accounted for.
At the height of the fire, six fire engines, an aerial ladder platform and command unit were in attendance.
Julia Gregory/BBCSurrey Police said that officers remained at the scene to assist firefighters.
"Frimley Green Road is currently closed. Please avoid the area and follow any diversion signs in place," it added.
Keith Burton, who lives in the area, told BBC Radio Surrey that he was "shocked" and "horrified".
"I can't believe it. I feel sorry for the people. It's a terrible thing that has happened to them," he added.
