Arrest after woman in 90s injured in hit-and-run
BBCA man has been arrested after a woman in her 90s was injured in a hit-and-run.
Leicestershire Police said it was called to Ratby Road, close to the junction of Oaktree Close in Groby, at about 14:20 BST on 4 June after a report that a motorcycle had "collided with a pedestrian and then left the scene".
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged, the force added.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on Thursday and released under investigation as inquiries continue.
Det Con Charlotte Wright, from the force's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: "While someone's been arrested in connection with this incident, I'm still appealing for anyone who can help but has not yet spoken to us to come forward.
"In particular, I'd like to speak to anyone who saw the motorcycle beforehand or witnessed the collision occur. I'd also extend this appeal to anyone with dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage."
