Drivers warned of long M6 delays after car fire
National HighwaysDrivers were warned of long delays on the M6 near Wednesbury in the West Midlands after a car caught fire on the northbound carriageway.
Firefighters were called to junction nine on Thursday evening, National Highways said.
All lanes reopened shortly before 21:00 BST, after one lane and the exit slip road were shut.
There were about four miles of congestion with delays of 45 minutes leading up to the junction, a spokesperson added.
