Daytime ferry sailings between the Isle of Man and Lancashire have been cancelled due to a "technical issue" with the Manxman.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company's flagship vessel's overnight crossing from Heysham arrived in Douglas Harbour an hour later than scheduled at 08:00 BST.

The ferry firm said its planned journeys at 09:15 and 15:00 had been cancelled "due to the ongoing technical issue onboard Manxman". No further details have been released.

Sailings by the fast craft Manannan between the island and Dublin and Liverpool are scheduled to run as planned.
