Firefighters work through the night to tackle blaze at landfill site
Firefighters have been working through the night to tackle a blaze at a landfill site near Peterhead.
Crews were called to Stoneyhill Quarry near Longhaven village at about 14:15 on Saturday, initially sending six vehicles and two specialist resources.
By Sunday morning, three fire engines and a water carrier remained at the scene dampening down hot spots.
Footage taken from a car driving along a nearby road captured thick smoke billowing out of a building.
Police have said roads in the area have now reopened and the fire is not believed to be suspicious.
There were no reported injuries.
