A former police officer has been charged with two counts of engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour.

The allegations against Daniel Boulter, aged 49, of Loxley in Sheffield, relate to offences which allegedly occurred between 2015 and 2018, while he was a serving officer with Lincolnshire Police.

He joined the force in 2014 and left in 2019, and has since retired from policing, a force spokesperson added.

Mr Boulter is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court on 17 December.
