Plan for 96 homes in city set to move forward
GooglePlans to build nearly 100 homes on the outskirts of Derby are set to take a step forward.
Derby City Council's planning control committee is recommended at a meeting on Thursday to give planning officers permission to secure a legal agreement and approve plans for 96 properties on land next to The Hollow between Mickleover and Littleover.
The proposed development would provide 29 properties classed as affordable, according to planning documents.
A report prepared for councillors said the scheme would meet a "significant need" for social housing in the Mickleover area of the city.
The plans include an open space with a children's play area.
The council has received 37 objections to the plans which raised concerns about the loss of green space and impact on roads.
However, the report concluded the impact on roads and biodiversity from the scheme was "acceptable" subject to conditions.
