Reward of £10k offered to identify serial attacker

A reward of up to £10,000 is being offered for information that leads the arrest and conviction of a man responsible for a series of violent attacks in Solihull.

More than 50 offences have been reported over the last 12 months around the area, with gold chains, bracelets and earrings stolen.

Lone women and older vulnerable individuals have been approached from behind, knocked to the ground, hit on the head and face, and in some instances strangled.

Alan Edwards from Crimestoppers said: "The police are working really hard to apprehend this guy, as he is a danger to local people."

Crimestoppers and West Midlands Police have released photos of the man they are looking for in the hope they will lead to more information about him, or somebody will recognise him.

"Somebody in the local area might know somebody who has been selling items, particularly the gold chain, bracelets or earrings.

"So even though you can't see the guys face, hopefully something will trigger something," Edwards added.

"He is obviously targeting multiple places across the area. He must be from around that area or have easy access to that area, perhaps transport links where he can come in and out quite easily.

"He's targeting certain individuals, and he's trying to make it as easy for himself as he can," Edwards added.

"Someone will know who is responsible or have information about these incidents. If you do, please tell us anonymously and we'll pass it on for you."
