Van driver dies after crash with motorbike

A van driver has died after his vehicle collided with a motorbike in Rotherham.

Emergency services were called to Haugh Road in Rawmarsh just after 10:15 BST on Saturday after reports a white Vauxhall Vivaro van and a blue Victory Hammer motorcycle had crashed.

The 62-year-old van driver died at the scene, South Yorkshire Police said.

The motorbike rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police appealed for witnesses or anyone with footage of the incident to come forward.
