Met Police officer charged with child sex offences

A Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with sexual offences

A Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with eight sexual offences involving a girl aged between 13 and 15.

PC Benjamin Jackson, 28, faces seven counts of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15 and one count of causing or inciting a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity.

Surrey Police said Jackson, who is attached to the Metropolitan Police, had been bailed to appear before Guildford Magistrates' Court on 4 August.

The force said the alleged offences took place in Surrey.
