Celebrations for Suffolk Day 2026 featured scarecrows, Vikings, medals and plenty of sunshine.

Crowds attended a free community day on Sunday in Abbey Gardens and Angel Hill in Bury St Edmunds.

It culminated with a short civic ceremony which included young people reading a proclamation and the presentation of four Suffolk medals. It was followed by a concert in St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
