Two murder arrests after man fatally stabbed

Two men have been arrested after a man was fatally stabbed in Wolverhampton.

West Midlands Police said it had been called just after 03:30 GMT to Burcot Avenue, after a 30-year-old man was stabbed. He was pronounced dead by paramedics.

The force said two men, aged 35 and 58, had been arrested on suspicion of murder and a scene was in place while inquiries were carried out.

Police have urged anyone with information about the stabbing to contact the force.

Det Ch Supt Ed Foster said: "We are in the early stages of our investigation and carrying out quick-time enquiries including forensic examination, reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses.

"We ask anyone who may have any information about what happened to contact us."
