Plans have been submitted for a new duty-free shop at Elizabeth Terminal.

Ports of Jersey's planning application has outlined the move of four existing shop cabins to create the new duty-free at the terminal in St Helier.

The planning documents also included a retrospective application to extend the use of two existing Riders' Retreats passenger cabins for 10 more years.

Multimillion-pound plans to redevelop the terminal were approved in 2024 with work due to start in the autumn of 2026 and end in the winter of 2028.

The redevelopment scheme plans include the replacement of the passenger terminal and reclamation of land to create a larger area for handling freight shipments.

The plans also include a suspended deck for freight operations which would involve reclamation and dredging, and the build of a concrete wall to absorb wave energy and protect against erosion, the Ports of Jersey added.
