Unreleased Ipswich kit on sale in Asia, says fan
SuppliedA football top that may be Ipswich Town's third shirt was swiftly removed from the rails of a sports shop in Thailand after reportedly being put up for sale before its official release.
The Tractor Boys' return to the Championship this season has seen them take to the pitch in both their new blue and white home kit and their all-red away strip.
The third top has so far remained under wraps, with little indication of its colours or when fans might catch a glimpse of it.
Supporter Chris Wade believes the closely-guarded Umbro kit may actually have been spotted on sale nearly 6,000 miles away from Portman Road in the shop in Asia. Ipswich Town and Umbro have been approached for comment.
'It's a little strange'
In an image taken by his friend, the club's home and away tops can be seen hanging in front of a mysterious grey and blue top which bears the same sponsor on the sleeves.
"My friend supports West Ham and obviously had no idea that it's an unreleased shirt," Mr Wade told the BBC.
"It seems a little strange but I'm guessing we're getting close to the release date for the UK if the shops have their stock already."
PAAfter noticing what he believes to be the third kit, Mr Wade asked his friend to return to the store, but when he did, the shirts were nowhere to be seen.
"They had removed all three shirts from sale, as they weren't supposed to be released yet," he said.
"I think it's been an oversight with Umbro Thailand as they also had them on their website."
