Man arrested over Tiree music festival sex assault

A man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault at the Tiree Music Festival.

Officers were called to reports of the incident on Friday evening, hours after the annual event got under way.

A 24-year-old man was arrested, but has since been released pending further inquiries. Police Scotland said an investigation was ongoing.

A spokesperson for the Tiree Music Festival said it was supporting officers in their inquiries.
