Woman 'stable' after suspected hit-and-run

A driver is wanted by police after a pedestrian was struck following a suspected hit-and-run in Wolverhampton.

The incident happened on Saturday night at about 20:40 GMT when a red Seat Ibiza collided with another car before colliding with a woman in her 50s.

Police added the driver was last seen running along Upper Villiers Street.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said the woman was "in a stable condition in hospital" and that enquiries were ongoing.
