Motorcyclist, 22, killed in collision with car

A 22-year-old motorcyclist has died after a collision with a car in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police were called to the junction of Cross Gates Road and Hawkhill Avenue in Cross Gates at about 16:00 BST on Friday.

The force said a BYD Atto and a Honda motorbike had collided and the rider of the motorcycle died in hospital.

A 33-year-old-woman who was driving the car was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police said anyone who saw the incident or who has mobile phone or dashcam footage is being urged to contact them.
