Six men have been jailed after carrying out a targeted attack on two members of a rival motorcycling gang.

Members of the Rock Machine Motorcycle Club, Lee Rogers, Robert Greenacre, Kyle Matthews, Darren Rimmer and Ashley Lauterdale carried out the attack on a man and woman outside a pub on Market Place, Coleford, Gloucestershire, in April 2025.

The male victim, aged in his 60s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, including a bleed on the brain and a fractured jaw. The woman sustained injuries but did not need hospital treatment.

The six were sentenced to a combined total of 27 years and two months at Bristol Crown Court earlier.

The court was told the attack happened after a dispute between two motorcycling groups, 'The Outlaws' and 'The Rock Machine'.

The victims were sitting near the Clock Tower in Coleford on 5 April 2025 when five vehicles arrived and members of The Rock Machine Motorcycle Club charged at them, some carrying weapons such as metal poles, a baseball bat, and a hammer.

The attack left both victims with serious injuries, with the male victim requiring hospital treatment.

Judge Richardson said there was a "willingness to engage in confrontation and violence" and a desire to "ensure the Rock Machine were on top".

After sentencing, acting Det Sgt Robert Humphreys said: "I am pleased that six men have been jailed following their involvement in what can only be described as a calculated and brazen violent assault.

"I hope this court outcome shows that violence won't be tolerated here in Gloucestershire and that police will do all they can to bring offenders to justice."
