Police have launched an investigation after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Nottingham.

Nottinghamshire Police originally said it happened at a skate park on Farnborough Road in Clifton shortly before 17:25 BST on Sunday.

However, after receiving "new information", the force said the boy was attacked in the Failsworth Close area.

Detectives are now working to locate two suspects - described as white males and about 5ft 10in tall - who left the scene on a black motorcycle.

The boy was taken to hospital with injuries "not described as life-threatening or life-altering in nature", police said.

Det Insp Lisa Jones said: "We are working hard to track down the people responsible for this assault and are currently pursuing a number of lines of inquiry.

"To this end, we would like to hear from any additional witnesses who saw or heard any part of this incident."
