Man denies raping teenage girl on beach
Qays Najm/BBCA 34-year-old man has denied raping a teenage girl on the beach in Great Yarmouth.
Police have been investigating reports that two teenage girls were targeted on South Beach Parade in the Norfolk seaside town shortly after 00:30 BST on 16 May.
Last month, Madalin Ilinca was stopped at the port of Dover re-entering the UK and was charged with the rape and sexual assault of a woman aged 16 or over in Great Yarmouth between 15 and 16 May.
He is also charged with the assault by penetration of another girl aged 13 or over in Great Yarmouth between 15 and 16 May.
Described as a Romanian national by police, Ilinca of Stafford Road, Great Yarmouth, appeared at Norwich Crown Court earlier and entered not guilty pleas with the help of a Romanian interpreter.
Judge Katharine Moore remanded him in custody and he is next due to appear at the same court on 25 August.
A provisional trial date has been set for 7 December and is expected to last for two weeks.
Dawid Wlach, of Dover Court in Caister-on-Sea, who police said was a Polish national, was also charged with two counts of rape of a woman aged 16 or over, one count of assault by penetration on a girl aged 13 or over and one count of sexual assault.
The 35-year-old appeared for a first hearing at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning and did not enter a plea.
He was released on conditional bail and is also next due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on 25 August.
