Newly-elected States members sworn in
BBCJersey's newly-elected States members have been officially sworn into their roles.
Candidates who were successful in Sunday's election were told to arrive at the Royal Court from 08:30 BST, where they each took an oath of office.
Many were congratulated by voters who had gathered outside the court, as well as fellow candidates and family members who had come with them for the occasion.
After being sworn in, the members will attend their first States sitting on 19 June, when Lyndon Farnham is due to be selected as chief minister-designate.
Former politicians who failed to be re-elected in this year's poll now cease to be elected members of the States Assembly.
The Bailiff Robert MacRae gave a speech where he gave special mention to the relatives who had helped with putting up posters and who had "been forced to attend hustings".
He also thanked everyone who had been involved in the election.
